14 Million Views for YouTube Guys. LIV Averaged 386K on Fox.
Two episodes of the Internet Invitational's second season had passed 14 million combined YouTube views by Oct 31. LIV's 2026 Fox rounds averaged 386,000 viewers. Not the same metric, still a hell of a contrast.

One golf product spent billions of dollars on the best players in the world. Another put 64 YouTube creators on a course in Missouri. Guess which one the internet is watching.
Season 2 of the Internet Invitational, produced by Barstool's Fore Play crew with Bob Does Sports, launched Oct 26. Two episodes in, the YouTube counters showed more than 14 million combined views as of Oct 31: roughly 9.6 million on Episode 1 (Fore Play Golf channel) and roughly 5.1 million on Episode 2 (Bob Does Sports channel).
Episode 1 runs five hours and four minutes. Five hours. People watched it anyway.
The setup: 64 creators, Big Cedar Lodge's Ozarks National, a $4 million purse, up from $1 million in Year 1. Captains Wesley Bryan, Brad Dalke, Ryan Ruffels and Peter Finch.
Now LIV. Per Sports Business Journal, LIV averaged 386,000 viewers across its 14 rounds on Fox in 2026. That was actually up 12% from 345,000 the year before. Its best season on Fox. Also, per reporting, its last as the league we knew.
Let's be honest about the math before somebody in the replies does it for us: YouTube views are not the same thing as a Nielsen average audience. A view is a view, and a lot of them are people watching for 20 minutes and leaving. An average audience is people watching at the same time. Apples, oranges.
But the gap isn't small. It's a canyon. And the attention is going somewhere that costs a fraction of a LIV signing bonus.
Our take: the money was never the hard part of building a golf product people care about. Personality is. Stakes people understand are. A creator three-putting for $1.3 million in front of his buddies is apparently more watchable than a shotgun start most fans couldn't find on the guide.
Two episodes. Four to go. Somebody in Riyadh should be taking notes.
